Thermal drones use radiometric cameras mounted to the aircraft. For Search & Rescue operations, this means we can program the aircraft to look for a specific temperature range. In the case of SAR, we can tell the aircraft to search for a heat signature matching that of an animal. Detecting heat signatures as low as 0.1 degrees celsius, the aircraft will an animal glowing against cooler ground. Aircraft like ours are extremely capable, versatile and accurate when it comes to searching for heat signatures. James Ellyatt, an ex-police officer with 5 years experience in investigating serious crime is trained to search and apprehend wanted fugitives as well as missing & vulnerable people. In a world where every decision carries the weight of someone's safety and life, we operate calmly under extreme pressure and make decisions based on facts, risk and safety. It also happens that those skills work effectively in locating lost animals, and James is excited to bring these skills to the table in helping pet owners reunite with their loved ones.
